General Notes
*E90 batteries are no longer needed or required. The Haven Hub/Gateway is not compatible with the lock. Our iPhone/Android app nor our key fob work with this device. It is strictly for people who have a compatible Z-WAVE hub or security panel.
Z-WAVE Notes: This version of Haven is a Z-wave compatible device with S0 and S2 security on the newest SiLabs 700 series chipset. If you have a panel or hub that has either of these 2 security protocols and allows for the addition of a generic Z-wave lock, then the Connect Z should work for you.
Compatible Hubs, Panels, and Systems: There are additional hubs that exist that this lock could work for if they are S0 or S2 compatible and have the capability to add a generic z-wave lock. You can navigate to the following compatibility page below to see integration instructions, videos, and purchase compatible hubs/controllers if you need to.
Alexa: Currently our lock works with several hubs that have an integration with Alexa. Our lock doesn't work directly with Alexa unless you have one of the smart hubs or security systems like the Ring Security Base Station.

Will HAVEN fit my door?
HAVEN will work on most inswing doors. HAVEN is .8 inches (21mm) high when unlocked. The distance from your floor to the bottom of your door should be larger than .8 inches (21mm) in order to accommodate HAVEN. Try the Nickel Test – if your door can pass over a nickel standing vertically on its side, then HAVEN will work for you! A riser comes in the box that is also utilized as the template. If you need to raise the height of the lock to properly grab the bottom of the door, you can use up to 3 risers before needing longer screws. To properly lock against the door, the locking gate needs to make contact with a minimum of .25 inches of the bottom of the door.
What types of floors does HAVEN work on?
HAVEN can work on a variety of floors and works best on hardwood, vinyl, laminate, concrete, and tile floors. Your floor should be clean and clear of any debris before installing. *Please note that when installing HAVEN on tile or concrete you will need to use a masonry bit and utilize concrete screws (not included in the box).
What are the dimensions of the lock open and closed?
All HAVEN locks (Mech/Connect/Zwave) are the exact same size. The dimensions are 3.5"W x 29.5" L x .8" H and fits standard doors. It is recommended that you have a .8" clearance from the floor to the bottom of the door. Try the Nickel Test – if your door can pass over a nickel standing vertically on its side, then HAVEN should work for you!
How long will the battery last?
The HAVEN Z-Wave+ lock uses an internal rechargeable 3.7V, 5000mAh LiPo battery as the main power source. The battery is good for 350+ charge cycles. A typical full charge should last between up to 12 months with normal daily use. Your app shows you the battery charge and will alert you with an audible chirp, push notification on your phone, and via email when you need to recharge. Lastly, the battery enters a hibernation state at 10% and only allows you to unlock the app.
Do I have to put holes in my floor?
HAVEN is designed to distribute brute force load from your door into your floor. Haven’s 30 inch steel base plate anchors the lock to your floor using six (6) lag screws. (included in box). For optimal security and protection, we suggest this screw-in anchor method. The holes can easily be patched or covered if you choose to move or uninstall your Haven lock later. We also offer a VHB Tape option for concrete or tile flooring. This method is optional when drilling holes into your floor is not optimal. For more information on the VHB tape option, click here.
