HAVENLock™ to appear on ABC’s 'Shark Tank'

Nashville, Tenn., March 28, 2019 — HavenLock Inc., a Nashville based veteran-owned manufacturer of smart door lock technology products, today announced CEO Alex Bertelli and COO Clay Banks are slated to appear on ABC’s Shark Tank, Sunday, April 7 at 10 pm ET/9 pm CT.
Designed using the strongest military grade materials of steel, nylon and industrial strength polycarbonates, HAVEN Connect is a wedge lock installed in front of the threshold and is controlled by a smartphone or key fob. Digital keys can also be sent to visitors while homeowners are away. The manual HAVEN Mech is a privacy lock controlled inside using a foot pedal.
Bertelli conceived of the HAVEN lock idea while serving as an Army special ops helicopter pilot in Iraq and Afghanistan. Deployed nine times, he noticed that insurgents fortified their homes and compounds by welding steel bars at the bottom, middle, and top of their doors. Returning from active duty Bertelli, along with co-founder Clay Banks, had break-ins in their neighborhoods and decided to solve the problem.
The wedge lock for HAVEN was created from the floor based concept Bertelli witnessed while serving overseas and was incorporated into the very first prototype the team made. Today, HAVEN locks make doors 10X stronger than an average deadbolt. HAVEN locks are designed, tested and manufactured in Tennessee.
