HAVEN March Update

Hello team HAVEN,          

I’ve had the chance to connect with a few of you over the past few weeks and it has been a pleasure. I think I can speak on behalf of the entire company when I say we truly appreciate your support. For those out there cheering us on, thank you! We’re doing this for you and your patience, encouragement and support are friendly reminders that we’re on to something big! With that being said, here’s what’s happening on our end.

 

Strength Testing

Our strength testing went better than we could have hoped for an initial test. HAVEN makes your door 10 times stronger than your deadbolt does with the actual door failing before HAVEN did. To put this in perspective, if you dropped a 100lb weight, you would need to drop it from 150 inches before breaching HAVEN. It would only take 24 inches to breach a door locked by a deadbolt. These strength tests prove that HAVEN is stronger than your deadbolt and helps prevent a break-in before it happens.

 

 

Product Update

We’ve had a great response since announcing our Beta program. In case you missed it, here’s the plan. We will begin a HAVEN beta program as soon as we finish engineering. We will send out a small batch of prototypes to get your direct feedback. If you are interested, please send us an email at support@havenlock.com and tell us why you think you would be a good fit.

 

Shipping Timeline

We’re still aiming for April-May to begin our beta program/prototype testing. We should be shipping final HAVEN locks as soon as we finish Beta testing. Keep in mind orders will be filled based on when they were placed starting with our first pre-order and shipping as they are manufactured. Again, we will be collecting payment for pre-orders about 90 days prior to shipping. Keep an eye out for the payment request email.

 

Integration Update

Our app development is in full swing. Our focus is making sure it is easy to use and user friendly. We’re working on integrating with IFTTT. If you haven’t heard of this popular automation platform, be excited! This will allow you to integrate to a number of different smart products to get the most out of your connected HAVEN lock.
